JOB DESCRIPTION:
This could be the best job or the worst job depending on you. Consider yourself the master of the masses! Through clever marketing, you will attract customers to the Sandwich Shoppe. You will do so by controlling the Sandwich Shoppe Website and being responsible for keeping it accurate and up to date. You will plan mini Sandwich Shoppe documentaries, commercials, or even web-episodes of cooking “How-Tos” and be responsible for filming and uploading them to the blog. You will design unique, creative, and aesthetically appealing posters and menus. In many ways, you are in charge of your own schedule, and therefore have to be very self-driven and task-oriented in order to do this job well! This position also requires a lot of creative thinking and good people skills
DAILY DUTIES:
- 8:15-8:40am (see schedule for for specific day): Clock in. Check-in with the GM FOH and equip order stations with necessary PR campaign material
- 12:00-12:15pm: Manage the Customer Service Table with your GM FOH
- You will work from 8:00-11:00 on Mondays during which you will be working on your PR Campaign schedule; a Weekly Campaign Schedule is due by 11:00am every Monday
- You will be the PR liaison for at least one day of the week
ON-GOING DUTIES:
- Clock in at the Sandwich Shoppe when working on PR/Marketing
- In cooperation with the General Manager – FOH and all teachers, design and implement a comprehensive PR/Marketing Campaign
- Attend to customer satisfaction (for example, creating a survey to give to customers regarding menu choices)
- Work directly with the public and be in charge of all major forms of communication with students, parents, and teachers/staff
- Manage blog/website on a regular basis
- Manage email account
- Design posters/flyers
- Design merchandise (e.g. tshirts, buttons)
- Organize and deliver classroom announcements about special events
- Plan and film documentaries, commercials, web-episodes
- Occasionally assist in the kitchen
- Make sure to constantly be in touch with the General Manager by scheduling regular meeting times
